Tiffany Vasquez

Tiffany Vasquez is an Assistant Director and DNA Technical Leader at the New York City Office of Chief Medical Examiner in the Department of Forensic Biology. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and her Master of Science Degree in Forensic Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She started at the OCME in 2004 as a DNA analyst, was promoted to a supervisory role in 2008 and then joined the management team in 2022. Over her career she has gained experience working on thousands of DNA cases for the City of New York, been involved with the training of over 100 interpreting analysts and has testified in both local and federal jurisdictions. Ms. Vasquez is also an invited guest for the Scientific Working Group on DNA Analysis Methods (SWGDAM).
