Carol Retamozo

Carol Retamozo is the Assistant Forensic Quality Assurance Manager at the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. She has 20 years of experience in forensic science and has worked for the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. She has experience in various roles, including Forensic Technologist, Forensic Scientist, and Forensic Laboratory Supervisor.

Carol holds a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Microbiology, along with a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Science with a minor in Chemistry, both from the University of Central Florida. She also earned her Master of Science in Pharmacy, concentrating in Forensic DNA and Serology, from the University of Florida. She is certified with the American Board of Criminalistics in Molecular Biology and holds a Forensic Manager Level I certification from the National Forensic Science Academy. She is a Technical Assessor for ANAB and actively participates in committees of the Association of Forensic Quality Assurance Managers.
