As of June 2023, there are at least 18 Standards and Best Practice Recommendations covering various aspects of training, validation and analytical procedures for DNA and serological testing methods available for implementation in forensic Biology and DNA testing laboratories – with several more soon to be available. This presentation will provide an overview of the Biology/DNA documents available on the OSAC Registry and/or published as ANSI/ASB Standards and Best Practice Recommendations. Additionally, information from OSAC’s latest Registry Implementation Survey regarding the implementation of these standards in laboratories in the United States will be shared. Details regarding resources available to assist with implementation of the standards, including webinars, factsheets and checklists, will also be provided. Information regarding draft documents for implementation in the future will be presented.
