Kelly Elkins, PhD, is Professor of Chemistry and co-Director of the TU Human Remains Identification Laboratory at Towson University and a Fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and the American Chemical Society. She has taught chemistry, biochemistry, and forensic science courses for 20 years at six colleges and universities across the United States and is a national expert in ethics education. She was a pioneer in applying IR spectroscopy to body fluid analysis and has authored and edited seven books on ethics, forensic chemistry, forensic biology, and NGS in DNA typing. She teaches a CURE course on NGS to forensic science students.
