Mark Pooley is the Director of Investigative Support for American Indian and Alaskan Native (AI/AN) DNA testing at the Center for Human Identification, the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth. Mark’s mission is to bring advance technology to Tribal and Indigenous communities and provide resources to investigations regarding Missing and Murdered Indigenous People (MMIP). He has Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Brigham Young University, and a Master’s Degree in Education, Counseling-Human Relations from Northern Arizona University. Mark is a retired Sergeant from the Tempe Police Department. He also previously served as a Tribal Prosecutor with the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
