Meet the ISHI Advisory Committee: Rhonda Williams

We are delighted to spotlight Rhonda Williams, Ph.D., a valued member of the ISHI Advisory Committee, whose extensive experience in forensic DNA analysis has significantly contributed to the field. Rhonda’s commitment to education and her hands-on expertise make her a cherished figure among her peers and students.

 

Rhonda Williams embarked on her forensic journey at the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences in Houston, Texas, where she dedicated eight years as a DNA analyst and crime scene analyst. Her role involved intricate casework that helped solve numerous complex cases, providing closure to many affected families. Following her tenure in Harris County, Rhonda furthered her career at the OSBI CODIS unit for seven years, where she honed her skills in DNA databasing and contributed to the national efforts in crime solving.

 

With a passion for sharing knowledge, Rhonda has also focused much of her career on educating others about forensic science. Her approachable style and deep understanding of forensic processes make her a favorite among students and professionals looking to deepen their knowledge in the field.

 

Today, Rhonda continues to impact the forensic community through her work on the ISHI Advisory Committee, where she helps shape the symposium to ensure it remains at the forefront of forensic scientific education and innovation.
