We’re excited to highlight Dr. Michael Coble, an esteemed member of the ISHI Advisory Committee. Dr. Coble’s extensive background in forensic genetics not only enriches our committee’s expertise but also inspires the entire ISHI community.
As the Associate Professor and Executive Director of the Center for Human Identification at the University of North Texas Health Science Center, Dr. Coble has built a remarkable career grounded in a Master’s Degree in Forensic Science and a PhD in Genetics from The George Washington University. His commitment extends beyond academia into pivotal roles such as his fellowship with the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and his active membership in the International Society for Forensic Genetics.
In addition, Dr. Coble serves as a commissioner on the Texas Forensic Science Commission and participates in the Scientific Working Group on DNA Analysis Methods (SWGDAM). His editorial contributions to leading journals in the field speak to his dedication to advancing forensic science.
