Dr. David Gurney, JD/PhD is an assistant professor of Law & Society and Director of the Investigative Genetic Genealogy Center at Ramapo College. He is president of the Investigative Genetic Genealogy Accreditation Board and a board member of the Forensic Genealogy Special Interest Group of the Association of Professional Genealogists. Previously, he was a Fellow at the Wrongful Conviction Clinic (now the Innocence Project) at the University of Arizona College of Law. He continues to consult on wrongful conviction cases and is a licensed attorney in Arizona and New Jersey. He received his PhD from Arizona State University and his JD from the University of Arizona, both in 2016.
