Transcript:
Travis: Good morning, my name is Travis, and you are?
Kevin: Kevin Miller
Travis: Nice to meet you Kevin. ISHI 29; is this your first ISHI, Kevin?
Kevin: It is not. It’s my 29th ISHI.
Travis: Oh my goodness!
Kevin: Pretty much every ISHI, yeah.
Travis: That’s impressive! Have you been with the same company for all those years?
Kevin: No, I was a forensic practitioner for a lot of my life, and then I joined Hamilton Robotics almost three years ago. This is my third ISHI as a representative from Hamilton Robotics.
Travis: And what does Hamilton Robotics do?
Kevin: We do liquid handling platforms for forensic laboratories who wish to automate their analytical processes.
Travis: Great, great. So who would be your customers? Who’s looking for these machines?
Kevin: Everyone at ISHI!
Travis: Every single customer.
Kevin: Yeah, pretty much. They’re all DNA analysts or people who work with DNA analysts, and our instruments do the analytical process.
Travis: So is this kind of taking the pipette out of the hand of the scientist and maybe…
Kevin: Exactly, exactly. Giving them a little more reproducibility, a little less quality assurance issue. A little more confidence.
Travis: Great, so it’s going to be hard to ask you this question, but do you think you’re gonna be back for ISHI 30?
Kevin: I think I’ll be back!
Travis: Alright, well we’ll see you then Kevin. Thanks a lot!
